Q: Is Small Givings fair to organizations?
A: Yes, Small Givings charges a small monthly fee to organizations to make sure they are serious, and takes a small discount from donor proceeds. For this small fee, the organization has a virtually effortless way to reach donors and to create a continuous stream of revenue that may otherwise not be available. Small Givings is good for everyone.

Q: How much does it cost to subscribe to Small Givings?
A: Small Givings costs the Organization only $14.95/month for unlimited access to the Small Givings donor payment forwarding service. Small Givings discounts donations by 4.5% of the proceeds for administration and to pay our affiliates and representatives (the person who is helping you now), and there is an additional “interchange fee” (the fee charged by the payment networks such as Visa and MasterCard over which Small Givings has no control) provided at cost (no additional markup) that typically ranges from 1.8% to 2.1% for most standard credit cards (though it could be higher for some rewards cards and American Express cards). Small Givings provides advice to help your Organization to minimize interchange costs by encouraging donors to use payment methods that have the lowest interchange costs. For this, Organizations get:

·   INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH payment account
·   Secure payments
·   Funds forwarded as they are given
·   Multiple campaigns
·   User access control
·   Instant online reports
·   Special reports
·   Year-end donor receipts

Q: Is there any liability exposure for us?
A: If your organization conducts itself as Small Givings recommends, your only liability will be for charge-backs where a credit card was not valid, for cases where donors have insufficient funds to cover their payment, or in cases where a fraudulent payment was made. Small Givings may be required to use future donations to cover these cases. They are very rare and Small Givings and our payment processor partner have taken certain precautions to help minimize these cases.

Q: How will we get paid?
A: You can only be paid directly to a bank checking or savings account in your organization’s name. The bank must be based in the United States. No payments will be made to banks not based in the 50 states in the continental United States; you may not direct payments to any account that is not a checking or savings account or to a foreign bank including US territories and Puerto Rico.

Q: How often will we receive our proceeds?
A: Your proceeds will be paid directly to your bank account within 72 hours of receipt from your donors.

Q: What assistance can Small Givings give our organization?
A: Small Givings is legally required to have a 'hands-off' relationship with your donors. Small Givings provides pre-prepared materials that can be used in emails and for printed 'take-ones’. Small Givings and our Representatives cannot have direct contact with your donors relative to creating donor demand, or advise you on campaigns or other donor-related matters.

Q: Is there a fee to cancel our subscription?
A: It is costly to establish your Small Givings merchant account, and we ask for a one (1) year commitment. You may be charged a $195.00 early cancellation fee if you cancel your account before that period; it is free to cancel your account after one year. However, we recommend that even when you have completed your campaigns that you keep your Small Givings account active as it will make it easier to start up in the future. At only $14.95 per month, the cost is modest and there is the chance that there may be ongoing receipts!
